Clarks Originals
Desert Khan Black Smooth Leather
Engineered Garments teams up with Clarks Originals to introduce their first-ever collaboration - the Desert Khan EG. This distinctive shoe merges Clarks' rich heritage with designer Daiki Suzuki's imaginative perspective, infusing elements of traditional boots into the classic Desert silhouette.
Clarks' Desert Boot is renowned for its iconic silhouette, a staple in the footwear world. The original design was conceived by Nathan Clark, the great-grandson of founder James Clark, during his time stationed in Burma in World War II. He drew inspiration from British soldiers' unique shoes, based on the South African "veldskoen," or "field shoes." These simple, two-eyelet, ankle-cut boots, favored by soldiers in the Sahara for their lightness and comfort compared to standard British military boots, were initially crafted in Cairo's Khan el-Khalili bazaar. Since its introduction at the 1949 Chicago Shoe Fair, the Clarks Desert Boot has remained a beloved classic.
