Needles

Needles is the creative vision of Keizo Shimizu, A owner and director of the highly regarded umbrella company Nepenthes. Needles is heavily influenced by Keizos buying trips to North America, sourcing products for the Nepenthes store in Japan. On these trips Keizo would build relationships with factories and surplus stores to bring a unique product that was unavailable in Japan. Although originally created to support imported items, Needles has become a key brand for Nepenthes, that reflects the creative ideas that Keizo has to offer. Needles keeps a balance between standards and avant-garde, creating a perfectly off balance design.
