November Staff Picks II.

Late Autumn is a little different in Victoria than in most Canadian cities. Although temperatures drop as the solstice grow closer, they hardly plummet. Rain remains the number one element to look out for, and often daytime temperatures creep up into the double digits. For this reason, a solid piece of weather resistant outerwear becomes an important wardrobe staple. Building beneath this, a lightweight sweater or two can be a more seasonally appropriate mid-layer option than some of the colder weather options on the market.

Another feature that sets Victoria apart from its Northern counterparts is that year round the city remains walkable. This week's staff picks - complete with a super comfortable Made in the USA pair of New Balance 998s - is dedicated to the all-weather urban commuter.

Nice! Bought the jacket expecting rain, and it was the best choice i’ve made this winter.
